96th Annual Labor Day Pier Swim
We are all about our annual events here in Oceanside and it does not get better than a quick dip in the Pacific Ocean. Since 1929 there has been a long-standing tradition of a one-mile swim around the Oceanside Pier, you know, the longest wooden pier on the West Coast right here in the area. The Oceanside Master’s Swim Club hosts this annual event that will return in 2025 for its 96th annual event. Prior years have focused on rebuilding the Oceanside Pier after it handled a devastating fire back in early 2024. Now the city is ready for a little fun and excitement that will make this year’s Annual Labor Day Pier Swim one of the best yet. This event does require a registration where proceeds will go towards local swim teams and helping to develop youth athletes here in Oceanside. Last year’s registration fee started at $80 per swimmer so expect a similar amount for this year. The 96th Annual Labor Day Pier Swim will include divisions for both wetsuit and non-wetsuit swimmers. Enjoy Oceanside Harbor Village
There are plenty of areas that are cherished here in Oceanside but the Oceanside Harbor Village just might be the most popular. Harbor Village features some of the best restaurants and boutique shops in the entire city. The waterfront dining makes eating out a great way to spend your time on vacation as the boats pass by in the distance. You will find some of the best shops to pick up one of a kind gifts at too. As mentioned, the Oceanside Pier has a rich history in the area and is found right here in the harbor. The extended pier is a great spot to unwind with some fishing.
